How is magnetism used in mines? Industrial magnets are used during the extraction process to remove stray metal from the production line. Whether it’s digging, explosives, or even human error, unwanted metal fragments are often left behind and can cause problems down the mining chain. IDEMAG adapts magnetic solutions / magnetic force to remove metallic or ferrous materials from conveyor belts. Magnetic separation machines consist of a vibratory feed mechanism, an upper and lower belt, and a magnet. Bulk material is fed through the vibratory mechanism on the lower belt.
Our machinery technology for magnetic separation is mainly used in the industrial and urban waste sector. We obtain optimal results in recycling iron and some non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and stainless steel.
How is magnetic separation used in food and pharmaceutical manufacturing? Magnetic separators and metal detectors are widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industries to remove and detect metals before the final product leaves the manufacturing plant. IDEMAG studies both new magnetic filters that can be applied independently of the production line and in ‘retro-fitting’ in existing structures.
